Should we Set Sail?

Memoirs of days gone by
We were children...you and I
A drawing of us dotted by stars
Tainted by who we are

The sound of our laughter
Of me and you
Like us can certainly be
Only just a few

With the ebbs and flow
Of a violin and bow
Like us certainly can be
Only just a few so

Will you look into the mirror
And see a smile in the glass
Will you look into the mirror
And see a lovely lass

This tempest is bold
But would you be sold?
And if all else should fail
Should we set sail?

We so often forget what makes us human...We fall in love; but do we know what we'd do when we hit that stone wall?

Love thrives on validation of emotions. It requires nurturing...It requires you to inspire the other...It requires you to remind the other about how unique "They" are...How unique "Us" is...

Yet there are times when being a source of strength does not just does not do enough to anchor the very person you'd want to have waking up next to you every morning.

What would you do? Would you choose to not fight the demons of gratuity? Or would you rather let the angels of  selfishness take you away?

What would you choose? A family or relatives that perish through the passage of time? Or the one person who's willing to hold your hand and grow old with you?

Bonds can be tricky...So can the question of belonging...Is temporary more important than permanent?

Would you waste away in doubt? Or would you take that leap of faith into the clouds and find elation in making it work?
