The Dark Side

The Dark is monotonous and exhilarating, at the same time... Monotony and darkness lend color to experiences outside them... You come out (If not socially) a different human...A different individual... A color, a sound, a smell, a touch; to every momentous experience you've had in life; and they add to your journey as a speck on the PALE BLUE DOT. A sound or else; that takes you back to where you wish you'd be for eternity, but reality pulls you back to experiences that take you to the roads that always seemingly fork in life... Life is to be taken by the second; not by minute, not by hour, not by day, not by month; NOT by the Year. But by what you are at THAT second...If you think family in a second, you live for them; if you think friends in a second, you live for them... We live by the clock; the clock doesn't stop...And the "Perceived" lack of time is why we are judged by our "socially bad" bad decisions. You are YOU! You are what defin

The Third Wheel

Image
I've been a third wheel in a FEW contemporary relationships....And I've found ONE thing lacking... Heart...(For better, or for worst.) Current "Boyfriend/Girlfriend" relationships are visibly shallow at the most...In that everyone chooses to be in haven with the similarities but complain about the differences... One of the very reasons why contemporary relationships are more sexual than emotional.... These are times we lose ourselves in our existence; And not in our relationships. We are in times when profoundness is defined by the young consuming psychedelics, We are in times when empathy has to be artificially induced, and not by the conscience. When you observe that that emotions are defined by psychedelic music BPM; You know there has to be a problem. The Wood Stock album cover couple, still are together; and yet there are numerous relationships that don't... This man and woman remain my generation's role models..

The Unnecessary Ramblings of an Idealist

*Statutory Disclaimer*: "I'm an Idealist; and I'm VERY visibly politically impractical as well" That does not take away the fact that philosophy must guide political correctness. ***These seemingly Anarchist views are of my own. (Just putting it out there since I've been tagged as an Anarchist by a right inclined friend of mine.) Political Correctness has given way to elephant in the room. Which justifies violence in the name of "Right-wing fundamentalism". Although it has not taken a form we expect it to; In India, it still is getting there. In the form of seemingly moderate and secular policies/laws that choke minorities from exerting its rights. In the veiled form of "Development" and tarnishing the efforts of being independent for 60+ years. I agree with the right-wing talks about "Appeasement fo r too long" and it makes sense! But have you thought about what could be done better. The narrative of "A better option

Gratitude...

Gratitude I just found some time to write again, with only the din of the A/C in the hotel room that   I am in , in Manila. And after quite some time, I let the feeling and fact sink in; that I actually sang in a South Indian movie. The movie in question being "Ezra"; hither-to unreleased at the moment I write this. I did have a one-sided conversation about this with my friend in a rum-triggered reverie (I'll choose to call it reverie and NOT rant because I tend to talk quite a bit when intoxicated and most of my deepest conversations with myself happen in this wonderfully reflective cocktail of music and whiskey/alcohol.); about how more than a so-called talent that I probably have, what was more interesting was a chain of events that led to me being very close friends with the person who eventually composed the song I sang, and as a result of that I was "asked" to sing. Life is cruel, when it comes to rewarding a lot of people who put in determination
