Scientific illiteracy maybe...But it's also fuelled by human hope of a better future... Sadhguru, Nithyananda, etc (Examples of shallow and fraud twats by the way) and a lot of other godmen speak the language of the abstract... Abstract being subjective is easily malleable to whatever you personally want it to be... What is probably required is not literacy after all...It's something as simple as genuine and hard introspection..

I was blue while they were black.... I wished time were on my side but I knew the blues were on their own while black had more than the rainbow...
