Duality

What makes us who we are...

Is it our kin?
Is it us unknowingly trudging through the ever black veil that is the future?
Is it our memories, o'er that we have no control?
Is it our friends? Is it the city we live in?
Is it the conscience we are endowed with?
Is it us who let the past enable us?
Is it us who lets the past control our next thought?

Or is it us who breathes the present, remembering the past...Forging to OUR future?

What shapes us more than the swan named time; we are a result of variety.

A by-product of expectations and rebellion.

Our circumstances choose between the devil and the angel....
